Rohit Sawhney Named As CEO Of India Ratings And Research

India Ratings appointed Rohit Sawhney as Chief Executive Officer of India Ratings and Research (India Ratings), effective immediately. "With his extensive and diversified (विविध) track record of leadership and experience, I am confident that as our new CEO in India, Rohit will build upon India Ratings market-leading reputation(प्रतिष्ठा) for quality, insight fulness and excellence," said Brett Hemsley, Fitch Group's Head of Asia-Pacific. "Rohit joins a great team at India Ratings, at an exciting time in the development of the local capital markets, and I am very much looking forward to working with him." Prior to joining India Ratings, Sawhney had been at Royal Bank of Scotland in various roles, most recently as Managing Director, Head of Global Transaction Services, Asia Pacific. He has also worked at ABN AMRO Bank and ANZ Grindlays Bank.

Sawhney holds a B.A. (Honours) Economics and a M.A. Economics from The University of Delhi, India.
