APPOINTMENT OF FOREIGN COACHES IN ATHLETICS APPROVED (मंजूर की) 

New Delhi: The Centre has approved the appointment of foreign coaches and support staff in athletics.Announcing this, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay Goel revealed(प्रकट) that his ministry is committed to provide best possible help and support, sports infrastructure (आधारिक संरचना) and equipment to athletes in their training for preparation and participation in international competitions.He said appointments of foreign coaches and support staff have been made upto 2020 Olympics and they will be subject to performance review annually. These appointments were recommended by the Foreign Coach Selection committee under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Sports.

While Dave Smith, from Australia, will be the Race Walking coach, Galina P. Bukharina, of the US, will be the coach for the 400 M & 400M Relay disciplines. Dmitry Kislev, Russia, has been appointed masseur and Elmira Kisleva, of Russia’s appointment as masseuse has been approved.
