RRB NTPC 2nd Stage CBT Results 2016: Nearly 81,000 candidates set to qualify for subsequent rounds Railway Recruitment Board is getting ready to release the results for the RRB NTPC 2nd Stage CBT 2016 Exam. As per the notification CEN 03/2015 for the Non Technical Popular Category, the exam was conducted by RRB for recruitment across 9 categories.  A total of 18.252 vacancies were

listed in the original recruitment notification. NEarly 54 lakh candidates had appeared in the 1st Stage CBT out of which 3 lakh candidates had qualified for the 2nd Stage CBT. The result of 2nd Stage CBT is expected to further trim the list down. As per the notification, nearly 81,000 candidates are set to qualify for the next stages of recruitment in the Indian Railways.

Candidates for different categories would have to undergo subsequent recruitment and selection process. RRB has laid down specified shortlisting criteria for next phase of recruitment. For the category 1, 2, 3 and 4, document verification will be done after 2nd stage CBT. For category 5, 6, and 9, typing skill test will be conducted before document verification. For the category 7 and 8 Aptitude test will be conducted followed by document verification. RRB has also shared the number of candidate who would be called for the next stages of the NTPC Exam. The following estimates are calculated as per the criteria specified in the notification released by RRB on the official website of indianrailways.gov.in and also on the regional RRB websites. The above calculations are strict estimates and calculated as per the recruitment process shared by the RRB. According to the notification, for categories 1, 2, 3, and 4, the total number of vacancies are approximately 10,060 for which 50 percent more candidates will be called up for document verification process. The total number of posts for categories 5,6, and 9 are 1,209 for which 8 times number of candidates will be called for typing skill test followed by document verification process. Similarly, number of posts for categories 7 and 8 is 6,108 and 8 times the number of candidates will be called up for aptitude test. As per estimates, approximately, 80587 candidates will be called for further recruitment process out of 300000 appeared in 2nd stage CBT.

Candidates should remember that while the vacancies for various regional RRBs are defined, the selection procedure does not share whether the number of candidates selected would be done on the basis of regional requisites. As such, the numbers are given at best as the total estimates and rounded off to provide for margins. It is expected that the RRB NTPC 2nd Stage CBT Results would be declared in the month itself.
