J&K Cabinet Approves New Jammu Master Plan Jammu & Kashmir government today approved Jammu Master Plan, 2032 which will be spread (विस्तार) over an area of 652.33 sq km, including the whole Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). The Cabinet in its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today approved (मंजूर की) the Jammu Master Plan, 2032.  ​Jammu Master Plan, 2021,
which is currently in use, was prepared(तैयार)  in 2004 for an estimated population of 19.29 lakh covering an area of 305 sq km, an official spokesman said.

To take care of the development requirements of Jammu city upto the year 2032, revised master plan for the city has been formulated, keeping in view that the physical limit of Jammu city has spread upto Bishnah and Samba, he said.

The Jammu Local Planning Area under the revised (संशोधित) Jammu master plan will be spread over an area of 652.33 sq km, including the whole JMC, municipal committees of Ghomanhasan, Bishnah MC, Bari Brahmana MC and Vijaypur.  ​The total villages included in the revised JMP will be 324, including the 103 villages of extended local area of JDA.
