India together with Norway Develops Body to Accelerate Research for Epidemics(संक्रामक रोग)
 A Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness(तत्परता) Innovations (CEPI) has been set up by India and Norway to speed up the research and development for epidemics. The body was created after the World Health Organization published a document titled ‘An R&D blueprint (मूल योजना) for action to
prevent epidemics- funding and coordination models for preparedness and response’ and asked all the member nations to develop research and development plan to deal with epidemics.
The CEPI has been set up by the Governments of India and Norway. Besides, other involved in the foundation includes Welcome Trust, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Economic Forum in collaboration with industry, other governments, foundations regulatory bodies, civil society and the WHO.
 The body will make the list of the diseases against which vaccines(टीके)  are most feasible( संभव). This will overcome the barriers (बाधाओं) for development of vaccines.
