Fast Patrol Vessel of Indian Coast Guard Ship ICGS AYUSH Commissioned at Kochi
Fast Patrol Vessel ICGS AYUSH built(बनाया)  by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) was commissioned at the Naval Base in Kochi on February 18, 2017 by the AVSM Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Naval Command, Vice-Admiral A R Karve. The ICGS AYUSH is intended (इरादा) to help in
anti-smuggling(तस्करी) and search and rescue (बचाव) operations to secure the Indian waters by patrolling within the Exclusive Economic Zone and also help in fisheries protection. With this, the CSL Shipyard has completed construction of 20 Fast Patrol Vessel series for the Coast Guard. The shipyard was awarded the work of constructing 20 Fast Patrol Vessels on October 20, 2010. CSL delivered the first vessel in September 2013 and subsequently delivered vessels at about two months interval(अंतराल) .
ICGS AYUSH is the 20th and the last in the series of the Fast Patrol Vessel. These vessels are smaller in size as compared to the larger ones that CSL had been building.
