Ananda Baskaran passes away The former (भूतपूर्व) Health Minister P. Ananda Baskaran passed away at a private hospital on Thursday after a brief illness. Mr. Baskaran, 70, was a minister from 1991 to 1996 in the Cabinet headed by V. Vaithilingam. He represented Villianur twice in the Legislative(विधायी) Assembly. He made his maiden(प्रथम) entry to the Assembly in 1990. In 2011, he quit the Congress
party and joined the All India N.R. Congress and won from Mangalam in the Assembly elections held the same year.
