such successful woman is Taramathi Matiwade, who is considered one of the world's best sailors. She has won several international competitions and proved that her skills match the best in the world.

Taramathi has always had a passion for sailing. Her uniqueness can be gauged from the fact that she is the first woman to have represented India in International sailing competitions. 

What is more is that she has won gold medals without even having a professional coach. Taramathi hails from Kohlapur in Maharashtra. 

Taramathi created by a team of women sailors on her own, and prepared for international competitions, which is no easy task. In 2007, Taramathi played a key role in preparing India's first women's match racing team. 

Taramathi has shown that women can negotiate the sea waves as well as any man, and as the winds get stronger and the waters rough, steelier becomes the determination of Taramathi.
