SSC Notification 2017, Class 10 can Apply for 8300 Multi Tasking Staff It is a great opportunity for Class 10 passed candidates to get job under SSC. Recently, SSC has released notification to fill up Multi Tasking (Non- Technical) Staff post. This notification carries with it 8300 posts, which is a huge number of post under the Commission in recent time. Candidates who were waiting for SSC to release
the notification can now easily apply for it by 30 January 2017. The easiest and the best way to apply is by visiting the official site of SSC at ssc.nic.in.

Candidates should know the eligibility criteria before applying for the posts. As per the commission, Matriculation is the educational qualification requirement for any candidate to apply. Candidates should be between 18-25 years of age to apply for MTS posts.

The examination dates has also been released in the notification itself. Candidates who will apply for the post will appear for written examination scheduled to be held on 16, 30 April 2017 and 07 May 2017. The candidates who will be shortlisted after the written examination Paper I will have to appear for a description type qualifying paper for testing basic language skills. Though the date for description paper is not out yet, but the Commission will intimate about it in due course of time. The written examination will comprise of objective type questions in Paper I and descriptive type questions in Paper II.

The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in Paper I. Once the Paper I is qualified by the candidates, they can appear for Paper II.

Candidates applying for the job will have to pay Rs 100 as application fee if belongs to the general category. All the women candidates applying for the job post and SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, Ex-Servicemen are exempted from applying the application fee, as per extant government orders.

The examination will be held in all the states across the nation. The examination centres is posted in the notification itself.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/UT will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission. Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II. Provided that SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates will be accommodated against the general/unreserved vacancies as per their position in the overall Merit List.The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SCs, STs, OBCs, and PH candidates which will, thus, comprise of SC , ST, OBC and PH candidates who are lower in merit than the last general candidate in merit list of unreserved category but otherwise found suitable for appointment even by relaxed standard. Physically Handicapped (OH/VH) category candidate who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances in written examination, extended zone of consideration, etc. is to be counted against reserved vacancies and not against general vacancies subject to fitness of such candidate for selection. Such candidates may also be recommended at relaxed standards to the extent of the number of vacancies reserved for them, to make up for the deficiency in the reserved quota, irrespective of their rank in the order of merit. In 14 so far as cases of Ex-Serviceman are concerned, deduction of the military service rendered from the age of Ex-Servicemen is permissible against the reserved or unreserved posts and such exemption cannot be termed as relaxed standards in regard to age. Success in the examination confers no right of appointment unless government is satisfied after such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects of appointment to the service/post.
