ICSE, ISC exams 2017 Revised datesheet released

Delhi: Putting an end to the rumours and speculations, the CISCE Board has formally declared the revised ICSE And ISC Time Table 2017 last night. The Council for Indian School Certificate

Examination (CISCE) had to reschedule the ISCE Exam for 10th class students and ISC Exams for 12th students due to the upcoming assembly elections in five states including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class X exam, which was earlier scheduled to begin on February 27 and end on March 31, will now commence on March 10 and conclude on April 21, it said today. The detailed ICSE 10th Date Sheet 2017 can be found below:

Similarly, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination for Class XII has also been delayed by almost a month. As per the earlier schedule, the ISC Board Exam would have begun on February 6 and conclude on April 5; however, now they would commence on January 30 and conclude on April 26. Addressing the media, the CISCE Chief Executive Gerry Arathoon said "As a result of rescheduling of the examinations, the candidates will now have the benefit of added study time. The schedule of entrance examination for admission to professional courses has been taken cognizance of, for the candidates taking the ISC examination."

This year, a total of 2,50,871 candidates will appear for both the examinations this year, with 1,76,327 candidates registered for the ICSE and 74,544 for ISC examinations.

Mixed response from the Students

The formal announcement of the revised time table for both; ICSE Exam 2017 for class 10 students and ISC Exam 2017 for 12th class students, has brought the rumours mills to a screeching halt. Students have given a mixed response to the revised ICSE Time Table 2017 and ISC Date Sheet 2017, as the majority feel that delayed exams would hamper their chances in the upcoming admission season. However, many others were satisfied with the additional preparation time that the change in the ICSE Exam 2017 Date Sheet and ISC Exam Time Table 2017 would offer.
