Former Ambassador Siddharthacharry passes away The former Ambassador V. Siddharthacharry passed away at a private hospital in Mysuru on Sunday evening. He was 96. Mr. Siddarthacharry, who is also the founder of Acharya Vidya Kula (AVK), Mysuru, was ailing for about a week, according to his son Abhimanyu. He leaves behind his wife Andal Siddharthacharry, daughter Ramadevi and sons
Mahaveer Acharya, Abhimanyu Acharya, and Shankar Acharya. A large number of well-wishers and admirers visited his residence at Jayalakshmipuram and paid their respects. The last rites were performed at a crematorium in Gokulam in Mysuru on Monday afternoon.
The AVK in Yelwal remained closed on Monday as a mark of respect.
