BPSC Admit Card Released; Civil Services Exam Will Be On February 12 har Public Service Commission (BPSC) will conduct it’s civil services examination on 12 February and has issued the admit cards to candidates. The exam would be held as 60th, 61st & 62nd Common Combined Competitive Examination. BPSC had published the advertisement on 15 September for filling 642 posts
in different departments/ ministries of Bihar government. The online applications were invited from eligible candidates from 27 September to 3 November 2016, later the last date for submitting the application was extended three times and finally, the process concluded on 5 December.

BPSC civil services examThe Commission had earlier announced that the prelims exam will be organised on 12 February 2017 and hence, the admit cards were issued on Friday, January 20. The candidates can access the admit cards from the Commission’s website www.bpsc.bih.nic.in after logging into the site. The facility to download BPSC Civil Services admit card will remain active till 31st January, hence the candidates are advised to fetch their respective e-admit cards quickly. The Commission would not send the admit card by speed post.

The pre-exam would be of 2 hours duration to be held in a single shift from 12 noon to 2 pm. The paper (General Studies) would be of 150 marks and will be set in Hindi & English. The preliminary exam would serve as a screening test only and around 6,420 candidates will be invited to appear for the main exam (the number of candidates for main exam to be 10 times the number of vacancies).

Even though the prelims exam remains unaffected from any new alterations, major changes have been introduced in mains exam.

The Civil Services Pre exam will be conducted at 390 test centers across 35 district headquarters. The Commission is also providing the facility of scribes to the disabled candidates. Such candidates will have to send an application along with the attested copies of certificates to the Commission, either by speed post or email (bpscpat-bih@nic.in). The application is to be sent before 30 January.
