BJP's Punjab President Vijay Sampla signs resignation letter ahead of assembly polls New Delhi, January 17: BJP Punjab unit president and Cabinet minister Vijay Sampla has sent his resignation to BJP national president Amit Shah on Monday night ahead of the assembly polls. As per media reports, Sampla is unhappy over the distribution of tickets for the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls and
that's why he offered to resign from both posts of Union minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment and of BJP Punjab president.

His resignation came hours after the BJP Punjab unit released six more names for the Punjab assembly elections. As per speculations, Sampla is displeased with the party's decision to field Som Prakash from the Fagwara constituency as he wanted a candidate of his choosing to contest for the seat.




The Union minister gave an ultimatum to BJP saying he will resign from the party refuses to amend its decision.

As reported by Times now, he has already sent his resignation to Amit Shah.

BJP, the ally of Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal's Shiromani Akali Dal, has now announced all of its 23 candidates for the polls.
