World Soil Day – December 5 2016 Every year World Soil Day is observed on the 5th of December to celebrate the World Soil Day - December 5 2016importance of soil as a critical component of the natural system and as a vital contributor to human well-being.It is organized by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). FAO dedicates this year’s World Soil Day to pulses. Also, owing to their
nutritional benefits, 2016 was declared the International Year of Pulses. Aim: To connect people with soils and raise awareness on their critical importance in our lives.
