WHO marks Universal Health Coverage Day with new data portal Universal Health Coverage Day was observed on December 12, 2016 to mark the anniversary of UN’s historic endorsement of universal health coverage in 2012. Aim : To promote the human right to health. WHO launched a new data portal to track progress towards universal health coverage (UHC) across the globe.
The portal launched to improve access to services and where they need to improve information. The portal features the latest data on access to health services globally and data on the impact that paying for health services has on household finances will be added next time.
