SSC Postpones Junior Engineer Exam 2016, New tentative schedule released at ssc.nic.in, 
SSC JE Exam has been postponed. Candidates awaiting the SSC JE Admit card will have to wait more as the examination schedule has been changed. The Commission has announced probable dates for the examination. Staff Selection Commission has shifted the JE Exam schedule to the second half of the
month. The examination was earlier scheduled to be held on 08, 09 and 12 December 2016. Candidates were also expecting the admit cards to be released soon.
However the Commission has made a major change in the exam schedule and has announced its postponement. Exact dates of examination will be declared shortly, as stated by the Commission. Citing administrative issues as the main reason, the Commission has made the announcement.
This is the second time the Commission has shifted the JE exam. Earlier the exam was scheduled on 03 & 05 December.
Candidates are therefore suggested to have patience and wait for the next official update of the Commission. SSC has notified that the examination may be held from 20 December till 23 December.
SSC JE exam will be held for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer in the disciplines of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract.
About SSC JE Recruitment Exam: Staff Selection Commission had invited applications for Junior Engineer Examination in the month of October. Applications were invited from candidates with minimum educational qualification of Degree/ Diploma in Engineering in the concerned discipline. Detailed information about the SSC JE exam pattern is given here:
SC JE Paper I: Paper I will consist of three parts namely i.e. General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), and General Engineering (100 marks). General Engineering section is divided into three sections: part-A (Civil & Structural), part-B (Electrical) and part-C (Mechanical). Candidates need to attempt only one part, relevant to their engineering discipline. SSC JE Paper I will be objective type (carry 200 marks and exam duration will be 2 hours).There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
SSC JE Paper-II: Conventional type and will consist of  three parts in which candidates need to attempt only one part relevant to the applied JE post. (Paper-2 carries 300 marks and exam duration will be 2 hours).
