National Children Science Congress from today

National Children Science Congress from today Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (APCOST) will organise 24th National Children and Science Congress (NCSC) from December 3 to 4 at CBR Academy of Sports and Education at Kethanakonda in Ibrahimpatnam mandal near Vijayawada. About 250 child scientists, teachers, district coordinators and
district academic coordinators from across the State will participate in the event.

APCOST member secretary Dr Appasani Krishna Rao said in a press release on Friday that 117 projects have been selected for presentation at the State-level event. As per the State quota 17 projects should be selected for participation at the national-level event of National Children Science Congress which is scheduled to be held at Bharamati near Pune in Maharastra, he said. 

He further stated that first two projects out of the selected 17 best projects will be selected for participation in Indian Science Congress to be held from January 3 to 7 at Tirupati. 
Minister for Environment and Forest, Science and Technology B Gopala Krishna Reddy will inaugurate the State-level Science Congress at Kethanakonda on Saturday, he said. Zilla Parishad chairperson G Anuradha, higher education secretary Sumitra Dawra, special chief secretary Dr PV Ramesh, Collector Babu A and others will be take part in inaugural function, he added.
