Jammu Kashmir JKPSC exam 2016: KAS prelims postponed, check new dates The preliminary round of the Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) recruitment exam 2016 has been postponed by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) to March next year. According to a notification published on the official website of the Commission, jkpsc.nic.in, the exam will now be
held on March 12, 2017. The Combined Competitive Examination 2016 was earlier scheduled on February 19, will now be conducted on Sunday, March 12, in two sessions. The advertisement for this post (notification number: PSC/Exm/2016/52) was released on June 18, 2016.
The notification circular has been released by Shakeel ul Rehman, Secretary and Controller of Examinations, Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission.
The candidates have also been directed to deposit the examination fee in case they have not done so latest by today, December 15, 2016. Candidates have been advised to check the status of their fee submission on the official website of the Jammu Kashmir PSC by logging on with their registration details.
“In case the fee status is not updated they shall get the same checked from the concerned JK Bank Branch,” the notification says, adding that the Commission will entertain any request for change in exam centre or venue.

The Jammu Kashmir PSC is a government body conducting recruitment exams for short listing eligible candidates for various government posts and vacancies in the state. Candidates are required to go through a preliminary round. Successful candidates from this round then qualify for the mains round, after which an interview/personality test is held. There may or may not be a group discussion round, depending upon the number of candidates.
