India, Vietnam sign civil nuclear cooperation pact in a boost to bilateral ties

Government of India and Intel ties up for ‘Water and Air Quality Monitoring’ systems. The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has partnered with the US Technology Giant Intel on December 8, 2016, to conduct research on water and air quality monitoring.Aim: to develop key technologies for sensing, communication and analysis of large-scale
data collected from autonomous networks of sensor nodes and acting accordingly for water and air quality monitoring in real-time. The monitoring program will be administered by the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF). The Collaborative Research of DST-Intel for Real-Time River Water and Air Quality Monitoring will also invite proposals from academic and research institutions for the development of online ‘Water and Air Quality Monitoring’ (WAQM) systems.The collaboration would also provide financial support to the selected project for which an amount of Rs 33 crore has already been set aside.
