India to set up center of excellence at Al-Azhar University, Egypt

India to set up center of excellence at Al-Azhar University, Egypt In order to enhance cooperation in education sector between India and Egypt, Center has decided to set up a center of Excellence in Information Technology at the Al-Azhar University which is the oldest and most prestigious University of Egypt. Regarding the establishment of the excellence Center, a meeting was held
between Indian ambassador to Cairo, Sanjay Bhattacharyya and Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb, on December 5, 2016 to discuss various ways to enhance cooperation.Al-Azhar University. The Government of India will pay completely for the project which will be set up in the engineering department of the Al-Azhar University and start operating early next year.
