IISc First Indian Institue to break into top 15 in Times varsity rankings of 2017
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has become the first Indian institute to be placed in the top 15 universities among top 300 universities in the latest Times Higher Education’s (THE) BRICS and Emerging Economies University Rankings 2017. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is placed 14th,
up two spots from a year ago when it debuted in the top 20. With this India is the second-most represented country with 27 universities represented among the top 300 universities. However, China tops the rank with 52 universities in top 300 and 6 in top 10 and 44 universities in top 200.
