Hawk Eye app wins award Hyderabad: The mobile application of Hyderabad city police ‘Hawk Eye’ has been awarded Gold medal in the National Awards on e-Governance 2016-17 under the category of Innovative Use of Mobile Technology, a statement said. 10. The mobile application has been well-received by the public with close to 3.25 lakh users downloading the app. The application is aimed at empowering the public to be citizen police. Its special features include woman safety while on travel and SOS button for seeking help in emergencies.
Some of the services that the mobile application offers include reporting lost goods, traffic violations, reporting crimes and criminal information, registration of servant, tenant and workers with police, suggestion to improve policing and contact numbers of higher police officials.
