Delivery Hero acquires Rocket Internet-backed start-up Foodpanda Berlin-based Delivery Hero signed an agreement on December 10, 2016 to acquire competitor Foodpanda for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will strengthens Delivery Hero’s global leadership position in online food ordering and delivery, with the combined group processing over 20 million orders per month across 47
countries. Delivery Hero and Foodpanda are both backed by German ecommerce firm Rocket Internet.
