Ambuja Cement, ACC win CII-ITC awards

Ambuja Cement, ACC win CII-ITC awards Ambuja Cement and ACC Limited have bagged the CII-ITC Sustainability Awards for their visionary approach in the areas of sustainable development and social inclusiveness, Bureaucracy Today has learnt. Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar handed over the awards to the representative of both the companies at an awards ceremony held in New Delhi
recently. Ambuja Cement also bagged two awards for its plant level Social Responsibility initiatives and Sustainability efforts in its Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh plants respectively.  Organized by the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the CII-ITC Sustainability Awards is a platform to recognize the tireless efforts of those corporates that have moulded their business models to accommodate the fundamentals of sustainability and social inclusiveness.

Expressing a deep sense of pride and gratitude on the occasion, Ajay Kapur, Managing Director and CEO of the Ambuja Cement, said, “This is a proud moment for all of us at Ambuja Cement. Ambuja has always adopted the sustainability path as it is clearly the way of the future. These awards are recognition of our consistent efforts in maintaining a sustainable point of view aligned with the company’s vision to become most sustainable and competitive.”
