Over 90 % support govt’s demonetization move in app survey

PM Modi's survey on demonetisation on the Narendra Modi app received more than 400 responses every minute. The respondents were from 2000 different locations, with 93 percent of them in India. The 5 lakh people who took the survey did so in just over 15 hours and not just this more than 90% of the respondents supported the govt's move to tackle black money. On 8th November 2016, Prime
Minister Narendra Modi announced the demonetisation of old Rs. 500 and 1000 notes in his address to the nation. Since then, the debate around the move has taken various dimension. In keeping with his firm belief in participative governance and direct engagement with people Prime Minister Modi reached out to people via a survey on his NamoApp.
And the response has been phenomenal. 
In just over 24 hours of the survey going live, more than five lakh people participated and expressed their opinion. More than 90% of the respondents supported the govt's move to tackle black money. Let's have a look at the survey. 

-- Prime Minister had asked 'Do you think that black money exists in India', 98 percent respondents said 'yes' 

---The response to the question Do you think the evil of corruption and black money needs to be fought and eliminated? 

-- saw a resounding 99% participants agree 

---when asked What do you think of the Modi government's move of banning old Rs. 500 & Rs. 1000 notes? 

--90% respondents rated the move as brilliant while 

-- While 92 percent respondents termed it as a good move 

-- When asked if they think Demonetization will bring real estate, higher education, healthcare in common man's reach. 

--- 66% respondents agreed while 27 percent respondents partially agreed with it. 

---The response to the question Did you mind the inconvenience faced in our fight to curb corruption, black money, terrorism and counterfeiting of currency? 

Saw -- 43% respondents say that they didn't mind face some inconveniences While 48 percent respondents said that they did face some inconveniences, but it was worth the while 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked people for historic participation in the survey. 

In a tweet he said that It is satisfying to read the insightful views and comments that they sahred.
