Karmakar Institute bags 16 medals at National Yoga championship, Jamshedpur, Nov. 18: Karmakar Institute of Yoga bagged 16 medals at the 41st National Yoga Sports Championship-2016 organised by Jharkhand Yoga Association, in Ranchi Khelgaon from 12 to 16 November 2016. Anusha Karmakar again made a National record by bagging 5 Gold medals in all five events ( Yogasana, Artistic single,
Artistic pair, Rhythmic Yoga and Free Flow Yoga Dance). She is the only participant who won 5 Gold among 1500 participants from 28 states in this championship.
Jharkhand team was headed by Baishali Champati Karmakar. In the several events-Anusha(17-21 female)- won 5 gold medals, Anushka (11-14 female) won 3 Gold and 2 Silver medals.
Tahseen (14-17 female) won 1 Gold, 1 Silver, Arpan (17-21 male) bagged 1 Gold, 1 Bronze, Pinki (25-35 female) won 1 Gold while Sushmit (8-11 boys) won 1 Bronze medal.
