 J&K govt orders mass promotion of students upto class 9th, 11th, In a major decision, Jammu and Kahsmir government decides to promote all students up to class ninth and also of class eleventh, a decision taken in view of disturbed academic session. In another sign of normalcy returning to Jammu and Kashmir, the public transport vehicles have resumed plying on roads, marking a significant
improvement in day-to-day life of locals.

Buses and other vehicles have started plying as means of public transport.

This is a major development after the students of class tenth and twelfth took board examinations in the valley earlier this week, defying separatists and terrorists.

After remaining suspended for over four months due to ongoing unrest in the Valley, the rail service connecting north and south parts of Kashmir resumed partially on Thursday. The full operations are expected to start within the next 10 days. The rail service resumed from Budgam to Srinagar Railway stations after completion of necessary restoration work on damaged infrastructure and tracks.
