Bilal Bashir Bhat releases autobiography “Beyond Me”

Srinagar, Nov 11 (Only Kashmir): Suggesting the mainstream and separatist recognized political party heads to collectively and jointly pass a resolution for the settlement of ‘lingering’ Kashmir issue, Hurriyat (M) senior leader Prof Abdul Gani Bhat while releasing his maiden book based on his autobiography “Beyond Me” Friday said those who claim sympathizers of the people of Kashmir should break wall and join ‘heads’ to
impressing the leadership of India and Pakistan upon the fruitful dialogue process in the interest of peace, prosperity and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
“If National Conference, Congress and even BJP claims to be the sympathizer then what makes them to delay to have a get together and consider and draft a resolution impressing the leadership of India and Pakistan collectively to resume the stalled dialogue process should be resumed.”
The former Chairman of Hurriyat Conference Prof Bhat said I am neither a communist who will say to form only one party, but the need of hour is to pass a resolution jointly if they (mainstream parties) claim to be the lovers of the people of Kashmir. He also appealed the people of India and Pakistan to raise pressure to their rulers for the resumption of dialogue process between India and Pakistan.
Stressing Indian and Pakistan to devise a mechanism for result oriented talks in respect to the resolution of Kashmir issue, Prof Abdul Gani Bhat said that the lingering Kashmir issue has been the main cause of tension and instability in the South Asian region and has led to armed conflicts between India and Pakistan in past causing enormous problems for the smooth and peaceful development of this region.
Saying that we remember the promise made by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru of plebiscite which he made amid the roar of gun and noise of claims of democracy, Prof Bhat said people of Kashmir are very sharp than many people around in Sub Continent, have always maintained that if India and Pakistan leadership move towards a meaningful dialogue to solve Kashmir, we (Kashmiries) would support such a process provided both the countries take into account the aspirations and emotions of Kashmiris.
He said the America and China is already in Afganistan and Pakistan respectively, and if god forbidden war breaks out the between the two nuclear countries Indian and Pakistan it will engulf whole world. Predicting there will be “Water War” near in future, Prof Bhat said Kashmir can be used footbridge to solve the matters between Indo-Pak.
He said people of Kashmir have always been in favor of the resolution of Kashmir issue by peaceful means and through a result oriented dialogue. Prof Bhat said that by relegating Kashmir issue to backburner, the entire South Asia would get plunged into instability and insecurity, adding, a small spark can stoke fires in the entire region. He said by exhibiting political courage, both the countries would secure the bright future of the people living in South Asia.
Besides a galaxy of Intellectuals, Journalists a large number of leaders and activists were present on the occasion.
Given introduction of his autobiography “Beyond Me” Prof Bhat said the book is full of history, religion, culture and tradition till 1986. He said the 2nd volume of the book will be full of politics and will be released soon.
