PATNA: The Bihar Cabinet today approved nine projects of Road Construction Department worth Rs 1347 crore. The approval was given at a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Out of the nine projects, the maximum expenditure of Rs 1006 crore would be required by construction of approach road on Sone river in Aurangabad and building of a four-lane road there,
Principal Secretary Cabinet Coordination Department Brajesh Mehrotra said.
The cabinet also approved a proposal to hand over 3.97 acre of land free to National Highway Authority of India for converting Aurangabad to Barwaada road to a six-lane one.
It also gave its sanction to converting Fatuha Nagar panchayat into nagar parishad.
The state cabinet today approved 22 proposals of various departments at the meeting.
