Airbnb signs MoU with Self-Employed Women’s Association of India (SEWA) to boost rural tourism.The world’s largest online homestay marketplace Airbnb signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Self-Employed Women’s Association of India (SEWA) on November 23, 2016 to promote tourism in rural areas. This initiative will begin in Gujarat and later expand to other
states.
iii. As per MoU, Airbnb and SEWA will train SEWA members on home sharing, hospitality and amenity standards, and responsible hosting practices.
iv. Airbnb will use its digital platform to create awareness of SEWA homes to its community of international and domestic guests.
