Govt committed towards housing for all scheme: President

President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday presided over a function for distribution of keys and ownership certificates for EWS houses at Jiwaji University in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. These houses were built under the Integrated Housing & Slum Development Project. Out of a total 1088 houses, keys and ownership certificates, were given to 632 beneficiaries from economically weaker

sections.  The keys were given to six selected beneficiaries at the function, while remaining 626 beneficiaries will be given keys later on. Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation Narendra Singh Tomar was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, President Mukherjee complimented prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching Housing for All scheme to provide homes to weaker sections by 2022. He also said that government is committed to fulfil its promise.
