India participates in World Nomad Games

Forty nations, including India, are participating in the second World Nomad Games being held in Kyrgyzstan between September 3 and 8. Some of the events include eagle hunting, bone throwing as well as a form of polo where in two teams battle over a dead goat. The World Nomad Games are aimed at celebrating the nomadic heritage of Central Asian nations. Heads of states and governments,
prominent figures in the fields of culture and science and athletes from 40 countries and regions have been invited to the Nomad Games. Nurdin Sultambaev, the Head of the Secretariat of the World Nomad Games 2016 launched the official website www.worldnomadgames.com which is fully complies with the corporate style of the games.

The first World Nomad Games were held in Kyrgyzstan from September 8-14, 2015 with the participation of athletes from 19 countries and regions.

The aim of the Nomad Games is the revival and preservation of the historical cultural heritage of the nomadic people’s civilisation.

World Nomad Games 
This is the Games that are an international sport competition dedicated to ethnic sports practiced in Central Asia. The main countries taking part in those games are the former Soviet republics of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan,Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Russia
