PM Modi sets up a virtual digital cabinet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has redefined many aspects of the PM office with his approach and active deployment of smart technologies, especially modern communication tools. Now he has set up a virtual digital cabinet as he communicates with all the cabinet colleagues via mobile app. This allows free flow of uninterrupted and secure information between the cabinet ministers without the formal requirement of
everyone being present at one place to share the ideas. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a prominent place for emerging technologies and new communication tools given his active participation in social media platforms to link up with the people. But not many know that PM Modi uses the same interface of mobile communications to remain connected and touch base with his cabinet colleagues. Recently Prime minister decided to invite suggestions from ministers on which 70 pro-poor government initiatives could be put across to public in easy and simple terms in the run-up to the 70th Independence Day celebration. And he did not have to call a physical meeting of the cabinet for the matter.  A simple message on a private group on the Narendra Modi mobile application was suffice to get the message and its urgency across. Ministers responded with their suggestions and developments soon. This example is enough to show how PM Modi had optimized use of technology to cut time and schedule overruns. This is what many call PM's Digital Cabinet.
