PM launches 'Azadi 70 Saal-Yaad Karo Qurbani' campaign


Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday kicked off 'Azadi 70 Saal-Yaad Karo Qurbani', programme from Bhabra, Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh. Addressing a rally Prime Minister said that 75 years ago, Mahatma Gandhi asked the Britishers to 'Quit India' and today is a fitting moment to remember all those who made it possible for us to breathe in freedom. Prime Minister also said that a handful of misguided and
disgruntled youth are causing a lot of harm to the great democratic traditions of Kashmir. Assuring youth that, Centre will provide all sorts of assistance for betterment of their livelihood, Prime Minister appealed to them to come together to make Kashmir a paradise on earth.

Prime Minister also appealed to militants and extremists to shun violence and join mainstream to be a part of the development of the nation. 

Prime Minister also said that after so many years of Independence, we still have thousands of villages which have no access to electricity. He said that all remaining villages shall be electrified within 1000 days. 

Remembering revolutionary leader Chandrashekhar Azad, Prime Minsiter also said that Chadershekhar Azad is a source of inspiration for us.
