Meet Rhea - The 10-Year-Old Girl Of Indian-Origin Who Won The UK's 'Child Genius 2016' Title

If someone asked you to spell the word 'eleemosynary', do you think you'd be able to? Honestly, I had never even heard of this tongue-twister before. But Rhea, a child wonder aged 10, not only spelled it correctly but also clinched the title of 'Child Genius 2016' in the UK. She is now officially the brightest kid in the kingdom.  She shot to fame after winning a popular television quiz on Britain's Channel 4. She was tied
with another contestant Staffy after she entered the final round by getting six correct answers.  And then she spelled the award-winning word 'eleemosynary' (adj) that means "relating to or dependent on charity; charitable." Rhea and her family shifted base from the US to the UK six years ago and they currently live in west London. After her win, Rhea said, "It meant getting up early, going to sleep late, studying. It just feels really, really great." Hosted by Richard Osman, this year's quiz was so good that the host himself described it as "the greatest final in the history of Child Genius". Why? Because Rhea's mother intervened in the quiz to demand why one of her daughter's answers was hailed as incorrect.
The judges thereafter agreed that the question was too general and awarded Rhea a point. However, this didn't go down too well with the viewers who called Rhea's mother "too pushy" on social media.
