New Delhi: Former Delhi football captain Subhash Negi passed away following a prolonged illness at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday morning. He was born on October 28, 1975. He is survived by his wife and unmarried daughter and two brothers. He did his schooling from Bharat Nagar School. He started his career from Delhi’s top clubs, including New Delhi Heroes, Indian National FC and Hindustan Football
Club and Goodwill FC in Delhi’s prestigious league in nineties. He represented Delhi team in the Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy from 1998 to 2001. He was also offered to join Goa's one of the best Vasco Club to play for them in I- League. He was an employee of Delhi Audit since December 1999. He was cremated this afternoon at Nigam Bodh Ghat. A large number of football players and officials were present. The Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) condoled his death.
