India the Most Expensive Amongst BRICS


MSCI India Index gained 22 percent since February. In today’s chart of the day, we compare the price earnings ratio of the MSCI India Index to the indices of other BRICS members. In the last three years, the price to earnings ratio of MSCI’s India index grew at a compounded annual growth rate of 9.61 percent, lagging behind South Africa, Brazil and China.Though the India index PE grew slower, at the current 18.55,
it indicates that Indian equities are the most expensive amongst BRICS nations.
India is also the third most expensive in the MSCI Emerging Markets universe after Greece and Mexico.
