First national sports camp for physically challenged begins in Panchkula


THE OFFICIAL opening ceremony of the first national training camp for physically challenged persons was held at the Basic Training Centre of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Bhanu, in Panchkula on Friday. The camp started on July 7 and the official ceremony was inaugurated by Arvind Kumar, IG ITBP, North West Frontier, Chandigarh. Trainers of Aditya Mehta Foundation will train disabled
persons from CRPF, BSF and ITBP at the camp. Counselling was provided to as many as 350 jawans from BSF, CRPF and ITBP who had suffered injuries in the line of duty. Of them, 150 were motivated to take up some sport.
