Cabinet has given its approval for introducing amendments to the Benami Transactions Prohibition & Amendment Bill, 2015 in Parliament. The bill was introduced in Lok Sabha in 2015 and was then referred to standing committee that submitted its report early this year. Under the Benami act those who declare their
benami properties under Income Declaration Scheme-2016 will get immunity.
