Management course for global environment leaders

The Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI), Hyderabad, is launching a first-of-its kind comprehensive post graduate diploma in management - environmental management (PGDM-EM) approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The programme is designed to mould successful business leaders who abide by the three pillars of sustainable business: people,
profit and planet. “Quite clearly, law and practice of environmental sustainability needs to address both global concerns and local needs,” said B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, director general of EPTRI.

“An effort in this direction needs qualified environmental professionals equipped with knowledge and decision making abilities in the areas of environmental management and development planning. Students with this progressive PGDM programme will fit into policy making public-private enterprises nationally and internationally,” he said.

The two-year fulltime programme is to be offered in six trimesters of 13 week duration each, and comprises 35 courses of 30 hours classroom contact/course and 105 credits, including an eight-week summer internship project after the first year.
